Why Starting Over is a Good Things

Hey ya'll!!! I'm back and out of retirement. If that makes no sense to you then WELCOME!!

I have always loved to write. I love a new pad of paper and brand new pens. Journaling has been part of my life for as long as I remember. So obvious blogging would be something I would be interested in. I have had an on again off again relationship with blogging. Usually I would stop blogging because we would move. I didn't plan ahead very well with anything that wasn't moving and getting to our new location. (My husband is a minor league baseball executive so we move around a lot for his job. I'm sure I'll write about it in the future.)

Storming The Rainbows (Don't remember the name)

This was my first blog that I had. I started back in 2009, I was about to graduate college and renewed in my faith. My Christian faith has been something that has been on and off for as long as I remember, but I was doing Bible Study Fellowship with an AMAZING group of women. There was ladies of all ages in our smaller group in various walks in their faith. I learned so much from them. So I started a blog to write about all my challenges and that there is a rainbow at the end of the tunnel. To be honest, I have done a lot of dumb shit in my life. Mostly because I feel like I needed to be on my own. (Again, another post for another day probably) I also had just gotten engaged to my now husband, Gary. We were living in Topeka, Kansas away from all of our family. So we used the blog as way for them to keep up with everything in our life.

Life as the Sport Wife

This was my first rebrand. I actually kinda miss this space, because it was when everyone was blogging and it was truly about community. Granted sometimes it felt a little like high school with all the different groups. But I really loved blogging at this time because you could just write to write. I had just gotten married to Gary living in Oklahoma City. (He was working the OKC Redhawks - now the Dodgers) I wrote a lot of what it was like being a baseball executive wife. I wrote about the long hours he worked, what he did during the season and off season, what my life was like, etc. If it was sports related I probably wrote about. Besides fitness, sports is another passion of mine.

Also one of my biggest blogging regrets happened during this time was I went through and DELETED posts that I didn't want anymore. UGH! I don't know what I was thinking because I had some many good posts and memories. Lesson Learned: Archive not Delete.

The Jessa Olson Blog

My second rebrand was because I was tired of only writing about sports and what our life was like being in the sports industry. I also really like change and felt like I needed something completely different. So I changed it to my name because my thought process was I could write about whatever I wanted. This rebrand took place about half way through our time in Arizona up to right before we left West Virginia. This time was probably the most sporadic time of blogging for me. I missed and talked about blogging all the time. My super amazing and supportive husband would always encourage me to write but I didn't.

The Fitness Gypsy

This is the third rebrand. I believe this started in Everett, Washington up until April 2019.  I wanted this name because I was finally a certified personal trainer and we were travelling like crazy. I wanted to showcase all the places we have been and different workouts. My thought process behind the blog was to showcase working out and travelling. I wrote a little bit but not as consistently as I was like.

Jessa Olson Wellness

My most recent and fingers crossed final blog rebrand. We are currently living in Modesto, California. I actually really like having my name in my blog because it leaves me open to write about whatever I want, and in the future I want to be adding online personal training. So hopefully it will be easy to remember. Wellness because I want to include all sorts of wellness, ranging from crystals to faith based to home remedy. Anything that could be wellness related. I want to provide honest and unbiased information on wellness. I am going to do all the dirty workout for you, so you can make the best decision for you knowing all the pros and cons.  You can also expect all sorts of workouts from bodyweight to heavy strength workouts.
